Oh boy, where to start. Well, first off, I don't have a clue who Rickey Gervais is, but he is wrong. Ok, now that that is out of the way, here is why. First, no spider has poison. They have venom (venom is injected). Second, you have to define what you mean by daddy long legs. There are three basic animals that are called this. One is a crane fly. This is a flying insect with very long legs. They are not venomous, and pose no threat to humans. The second one is a spider, and it does have venom, but it is not dangerous. It will rarely bite and if it does, it won't be any worse than a bee sting. The third is an arachnid, but not a spider. These arachnids do not have venom glands, so they are not the "most deadly spiders." In fact, they aren't even all that deadly to insects. They are sometimes scavangers, sometimes hunters, and will even eat rotting plants. As you can see, none of these "daddy long legs" have poison but no fangs.

they dont, its a urban myth, although theres a spider also known as a daddy long leg that does have venom but no teeth or fangs so thats where the myth prob comes from.

They've probably not evolved yet. So lets kill them all before they all kill us.
