my 4GB ipod mini is acting strange and has been acting strange for a while.
whenever i connect it to my computer my ipod screen shows the battery with the lighting strike but the battery is frozen (it isn't filling up and defilling like it should be)
then my itunes is unaware that any ipod is connected at all.. so i'm unable to get my songs in.
PLEASE HELP ME?

You might want to re-check your connections with your computer. Make sure all the cables are connected properly.
Also, make sure your iTunes software is up-to-date. In one of the pull down menus on iTunes there is an option to check for updates.
There is also an option to restore the software on your iPod (this might not work if your iPod isn't being recognized) - that will reset your iPod to it's original factory settings - so don't do this is you have music on your iPod that isn't in iTunes (this normally wouldn't be a problem).

Try to reset it if that doesn't work you might have to get a new battery for it.
