I feel like I read that somewhere ages ago but seeing the last episode of the series, it didn't really seem like it could be the final ever episode.

I read a news brief that they decided to do a couple episodes to wrap it up, but that was not a confirmed report.
There has been a lot of complaints over the final episode because it really didn't wrap anything up.

It is the last series, but there are plans for a movie within the next 2 years.

I'm sure I've read recently that the sixth is the final series also
