When the Allies and the Russians were approaching Berlin, and Nazi Germany was about to be defeated, Hitler ordered his troops to go on fighting.
In Iraq, with the situation deteriorating rapidly, GWB still think his strategy is correct and orders his troops to keep fighting.
Blindness to the inevitable outcome is the common factor.

Both were involved in galvanising their nations to war.
One tried to cover it up behind voluminous gas screen.
The other is still in the process of publicising it.
But so did all the military victors of the past were in either stage of mass killing for a cause.
How about one name: Prince Vlad III Dracula, also known as Vlad Tepes, meaning "Vlad the Impaler."
The Turks called him Kaziglu Bey, "the Impaler Prince."; he was the prince of Walachia. As legend suggests, he was born in Transylvania, which at that time was ruled by Hungary.
The prince established his capital at Tirgoviste, where the palace ruins presently lies with the statue of Vlad Tepes. In Romanian history, he unified Walachia and resisted the influence of foreigners; his cruelty is best remembered by non-Romanians.
Story goes that after becoming prince, the prince invited beggars, the infirm, old and poor people to banquet at his castle.
When his guests finished their meals, he asked them, "Would you like to be without cares, lacking nothing in this world?"; they agreed without hesitation.
The prince promptly boarded up the castle and set it ablaze. Nobody made it out alive and that was the end of their problems, as he had promised,"I did this so that no one will be poor in my realm."
Some other instances, a concubine hoped to curry favour by laying claim to be with child. Whereupon her deceit was discovered, he sliced her open from her sexual organs to her breasts,"Let the world see where I have been".

Thank God nothing except they are /were both men. Hitler killed millions of Jews, last time I saw the news it said nothing about Bush doing anything like that. My God the human race worries me when you can ask such a half baked question.

If you're suggesting dictators, you're wrong. Bush isn't one. They don't want to mark and tattoo human bodies. Bodies is spelled wrong by the way. Your information is wrong.

Use of propaganda, scapegoating, nationalism, fear-mongering, censorship.
- both men used war to enrich their political cronies;
- both men demonstrated contempt for international law and the concerns of the world community;
- and both men believed they were/are on some holy crusade inspired by a "divine province" that placed them into power.

Both are maniacs and both are self-serving jerks. Their main interests are power and control which is a dangerous combination for men who do not seek justice, equality and empathy of humanity.
