I half remember seeing a movie about a young girl that was being held in a research facility. She had esp or something. She ends up setting the place on fire. Does anyone remember this movie or what it was called? I remember the grand staircase being on fire.

It wasn't Carrie or Firestarter with Drew. The girl has some kind of psychic abilities.

it may have been 'firestarter' starring the young drew barrymore. it was a stephen king story.
on second thought, it may have been the one with kirk douglas and amy irving 'the fury'. i don't recall the staircase scene in either one though.
let me know if it's one of those

For the Nineteen Seventies, you probable desire to look at Woody Allen's action pictures. That became his heyday. different humorous ones, even nevertheless they are actually not unavoidably romantic, incorporate "the side" (astonishing!) and "Paper Moon." For the early Nineteen Eighteen Eighties, i can't think of of too many romantic ones. might "Splash" be early adequate for you? There are some super ones, nevertheless. you will desire to be certain action pictures like "the main appropriate Stuff" or "Chariots of hearth." possibly "conflict video games" now that it is out on DVD or the unique "Ghostbusters." yet my prominent from that component must be "Diner." super solid and communicate!
