I'm 7 months pregnant, due on Nov. 21st and Expecting a boy. I just moved back to Brunswick, Ga about 2 months ago, We currently are very tight on money and need all the help we can get in recieving baby items. We already have a bassinet, swing, jumper, tub, shoes, clothes (could always use more I'm sure), bouncer, and misc baby toys. We still are looking for a safe car seat, crib, and whatever else can be helpful. Thanks so much. Rebecca

I think almost every church may be able to provide you with a few addresses. I'm serious. My sister was in that same predicament and they were quite helpful

:) I had the same issue a year ago. I have a local church that was wonderful for me and my family. Also I used freecycle.org- it's a yahoo group. Just go on and post what you need and check your email and generally things come up. Make sure when you get a crib if it's an older one that you check to see if it's recalled and measure the slats on it to be sure they aren't too far apart. Good luck and congratulations on the impending birth of your son. :)

I know that where I live in Maricopa County, AZ, the hospitals give out free new carseats, becasue they don't want moms getting used ones Like a helmet, if they've been in an accident, they are no longer safe, and you never know when you get one second hand.

Go to www.freecycle.org and sign on in your area. Baby things are constantly being offered, and you can ask specifically for what you need. There is never a charge. Everything on Freecycle must be FREE. It's a terrific resource!

freecycle.org is awesome!

I caution against buying a used car seat. You don't know how old it is or how safe it is. That is the one thing I would splurge and buy.
