Hey.....it's October 1st! You're always suppose to say "rabbit rabbit" as your first words on the first day of the month. Then supposedly you have good luck.

Uh-oh...my first uttered words were, "Stupid f-ing cat!!" because right after I got up I stepped in a nice cold pile of hairballs on the way to the kitchen. Does that mean 6 more weeks of winter or something?
But you did give me a really nice dinner idea. I think I'm going to the butchers today for some "rabbit rabbit," yummy.

Hello dear, Thank you so much for that reminding ( by the way I never ever heard it before) and as I woke up before at about 30 minutes now I will say at loud "Rabbit Rabbit", I really do need a good luck and a recovery from something. Bugger. Forgot. I watched a movie a couple of days ago called Rabbit Fever, and was singing a song all day yesterday with the chorus "Rabbit rabbit yip yap rabbit rabbit rabbit rabbit"...does that count?
First thing I thought today was "crap, it's my brother's birthday!" - haven't got him a card, which means I now have to go through the rigmarole of talking to him. First thing I SAID was "How you feeling?" cos my wife's feeling poorly sick the weekend before starting her new job...

I, too, have never heard of this; however, I say rabbit all the time as I own one and he chews on EVERYTHING!!!
