Im starting a new job tomorrow, & I was asked if I had a suit, & was told that it was corporate, do I have to wear the suit jacket? If I was to wear the suit skirt, a nice top, not a shirt but nearly, nice heels etc, is that suitable, or do I need to wear the jacket, I really dont like blazers.

The corporate world requires you to dress in a jacket and skirt/pants. Go out a get yourself some cute clothes. You don't necessarily have to wear a suit, however, you can mix and match. It really depends on your age. If you're young, you can get away with wearing a cute tailored jacket. Good Luck with your new job!

I really think you need to wear the jacket. It completes the look. When you walk into a meeting, you should have your jacket on. You probably could easily take the jacket off once you are in the meeting.

If your skirt is on the shorter end, it is probably more important to wear the jacket.

Yes, the jacket is part of the suit package.

Without the jacket, it's not a suit.

You don`t necicarily need to wear a blazer or a jacket. You can look corprate without them, but BTW blazers can make you look sliming. Just don`t look too corprate-cash. Good luck on your new job!
