ok i have a gay friend he is absolutely the greatest guy i have ever know but lately he has been flirting with me alot and everyone has noticed even his family is convinced he isnt gay and he really likes me. i personally think he is gay but he is having trouble with the fact that he is the only openly gay teenager in our town and i think he is just going after me because he feels the most comfortable with me. so i guess my question is really two........ what do u think?
and. if u agree with me (that he is gay but he is just lonely) how do i help him?

I think that as a girl, and as a friend first of all you need to know that you friend is gay that you have been very perceptive in recognising this. However he is very nervous not only about how you will react (you are close and have been for a number of years) but also about how other friends and family will take it. He's not ready to come out of the closest yet, but is ready for someone to really listen to him. And that's you. God loves you for your compassion.

Teens experiment with sexuality, gay or straight. You might be right on target, but it might also be that he is very attached to you. He's in a very isolated place, so being lonely is a problem for him obviously.
I don't know what you can do to help him until he can get out and meet some of his own peers. Be a good friend and be supportive but unless you want to be hurt in the end, don't get involved with a relationship with him.

You may be right, that he is not able to embrace the gay lifestyle, and he feels like a freak in your small town. He desperately wants to be "normal."
But, maybe he is confused, and is unsure if he really wants to be gay, and wants to have a hetero "relationship."
After all, he is only a teenager; teenagers go through different phases. Maybe being gay and ostricized was just a passing fancy, for a shy, lonely boy?
How you can help him is to have a heart to heart talk with him. Maybe he just needs someone who is willing to really listen to him. Otherwise, you can guide him towards seeking counseling wih a professional.

he get so close to you cause he can share your make up.. no not true.. gay people are very friendly. so how many gay friend do you have? go make more and you will find your question answer. the way to help him and help yourselves is go ask him "can you sleep with me tonight". if he say OK then rest assure he is not gay. and your next question raise is "is he bi". another way to test him is bring a good looking guy along when outing with him and see where all his attention goes to you or the guy.

You should research the local 'phone chat' lines. This is the best way for lonely people, of any orientation, to find locals of the same 'tastes'. Even if he has to drive an hour away, he will thank you for helping him get some action. It does cost some money, for guys, but it's well worth it!!!

omg, it is like ordained that the gay man flirts with his f@.g hag, and your it, but if he starts to kiss you, then.....well he might be trying to expirement, remember he is gay, but he is just finding out if men is all he wants, or maybe women too, and possibly he is being pressured by people and he is doing this for one of his reasons

Explain to him you aren't gay! If he's your friend, he'll understand.
