Its my 24th birthday a week on Monday. My boyfriend has ordered me to make a list of presents that I would like, I have wrote down a few but im finding it really hard to think of loads, he says it doesnt matter what it costs, I should write them down anyway, but please, no answers like, a new house or car or anything! Im not really a 'wanting' person so can you please help me to think of some things??

You tell him i said an engagement ring, then ask him how daft is that, well i am sure that you can do the maths on the rest of the conversation

You should like a very unselfish person. How about if you ask your boyfriend to either donate a certain number of hours to the place you work or think of a gift someone there may need instead of something for yourself. Another idea might be a gift for the place that you work.
I hope you have a very Happy Birthday.

Hi!

I too had this dilemma about three years ago.

My hubby said to write down things I REALLY wanted.

Top of my list was a pair of step ladders!! (The story relating to that decision is a lonnngg one, so I won't bore you with that!).

Anyway, I got my top preference, and I really enjoyed going to choose them and I LOVE 'em. Sad as it may sound they are my pride and joy, and woe betide anyone who uses them without asking!!

You see, I too had all the usual 'girly' stuff, i.e., make-up, jewellery, clothes, bags, cds etc.

The fact that I got EXACTLY what I WANTED and what I NEEDED, made the gift even more special.

Hope this helps!

Have a lovely birthday when it arrives!!

Do you like animals? You could ask him to 'adopt' an animal on your behalf. Monkey World in Dorset (G.B) rescue apes from all over the world. You can adopt one, and get info, pics etc sent to you. Australia Zoo (rest in peace Steve) also allow you to adopt animals. This is an excellent way of supporting these and many other organisations that look after our wildlife and animals. It would be a gift that would last all year long.
Happy birthday x x

Look he asked for a list of things that you may want or need. Tell me there isn't anything that you might want. The idea is for you to write it all down so that he can go hunt down one of the items, and if not, he has some idea what to get if he needs to wing it. Throw the guy a bone man. He's trying to be nice.

Three-some, four years of college at a good university, $1000 dollar shopping spree at one store or another, something non-material like volunteering so many hours per week at a homeless shelter or a vacation to the Swiss Alps or something.

I would normally ask for a surprise, then give him a list of all the things you're interested in, like music, anything from tv, books, hobbies. then get him to look on the internet, like ebay or something similar and get him to pick out what he think best describes you, or would make you laugh. Something you're likely to remember for ages. Once for my boyfriend I got a caricature made of him for his birthday.

If you don't like any of those ideas .. I believe a chocolate fountain is pretty cool.

How's the relationship. If its good ask him for an eternity ring. It's forever. Hasn't got to be too expensive eh?
