Assuming you have the network adapter, software installed and high speed you need to decide wire or wireless.
Wired: plug a cable into the console and the other end into the modem/router.
Wireless: you will need a wireless adapter (see link) and a wireless router or wireless enabled modem.
Bottom line:
Wired: Cheap, fast and secure but will require cable/cables.
Wired: $$$, still reasonably fast, but you will need a firewall to keep people from sharing your bandwidth.

You need a special sony internet disc.. and a broadband modem... ive tried plugging my dsl modem in the front usb's and it wont work...
