you need to break the vacuum between the bowls, sometimes the most effective way to do this is with temperature change. hot ater will make the air in the vacuum expand forcing the bowls apart. put a pan n the stove with hot water in, rest the bowls on top and with an oven glove you should be able to gently seperate the two bowls.

Bought 2 bowls that were stuck together because they were the last ones. Followed this, Ice water in the top bowl, hot tap water in a pan to set them in. Waited 5 minutes, covered with a towel and gently tapped around the edge of the top bowl and they slid apart! Hooray me! They are Corel so U gad a little latitude with the temperature.

Place them in a bowl of hot water and pour cold water into the top one.
The heat will expand the bottom bowl and the cold will contract the top.

Paddymack is the correct answer. If you heat them both they will both expand equally and remain stuck! You should sit the outer bowl in very hot water and put cold water and ice in the inner one. The outer one will expand and the inner will contract, leave them a few minutes, lift them out and bump them UPSIDE DOWN on a solid surface and they will separate.

I would try filling the smallest (inside) bowl with ice and then set the bowls into a sink of hot water.....the heat will cause outside bowl to expand a little and the ice(cold) the inside bowl to contract. they should come apart easily then. Good luck with this........works with glasses or vases stuck together also

The scientific way is........ Flaked ice/ice cold water in the top bowl, dip the bottom bowl in quite hot water, they should seperate easily.
The explaination being the top bowl shrinks slightly, and the bottom bowl expands slightly.

Try tapping them gently - the vibration will often loosen them. Or dribble oil around where they are stuck and leave a while. Or you can fill the top one with ice and stand the bottom one in hot water. ONE of these should work!
