a unicorn becuase apparently they can fly and that would be fun having your own unicorn that can fly and also they are like a horse and I love horses!

i'd ask for a centaur - body of a horse with a human torso and head. Why? with a human head, he should have the power of speech and i can at last have a meaningful coversation with my pet - one where we both understand one another!
