If its just a normal mild swelling give it time..... it will usually go away on its own... if its serious, you are better off to go and see a doctor or a specialist.

If you want some home treatments to relieve symptoms.... thats another issue!

You need to REST REST and REST! Get plenty of sleep nightly!

Think of what may have caused the swelling! Was it your glasses? if so, take them off. If its another kind of activity, give it a rest/break.

Identify your allergies!

Also account for the season.. I have been sneezing alot lately! Seasonal allergies can be treated with over-the-counter and prescription medications.

Try overnight facial masks! You can also try this.... just before you go to bed, take a washcloth and wet it just a bit with cold water. Then squeeze out any excess water and place it over your eyes as you sleep.

Also, apply cool tea bags (If you have allergies a tea bag like chamomile might swell your eyes), an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth, or cucumber slices to your eyes daily. The tannin in tea bags has been shown to reduce swelling and cucumber slices have long been used to reduce puffiness and refresh the appearance of skin around the eyes (10-15 minutes. Keep your eyes closed).

Apply an eye cream containing vitamin K and/or E.

Becareful, Yahoo! Answers users may give you home remedies. While the most common are cucumbers and tea bags, there are a number of others. Feel free to test them out, as some may work for some people, but use common sense.
