I aim to register as a Private Limited Company in Britain. I am thinking of using a third party company for a fee to do this for me. Should I do this? Also I understand it takes two people to register as a Private Limited Company. Why can I not register on my own?
Any additional advice or help would be much appreciated.

You don't need a third company to do it for you. It is an unnecessary expense. You can do it online by going to www.uk-plc.net and do it all on line. It is easy. I did it so it must be. In order to have a plc you must have at least two directors. One can have more of the business than the other by having a greater share. But don't worry, look at the website. It is all explained there.

This is because you are a sole trader, not a company. A company is comprised of more than one person who will be directors of the company.
