There are other varieties of moth repellents available with lovely scents such as Lavender etc,that the pong of moth balls isn't as necessary anymore...unless one likes it of course!!!

They are a waste of time .I have spent hours throwing them at moths,and never hit one yet

Why would there still be moths in our houses anyway? When all the bugs can be sprayed dead.

Because old clothes are not stored anymore like it used to be. Today when clothes become old we throw it out and buy new ones.

You still can buy them but I think people doesn't really care for the smell.
