Well just from a little life experience, I hadn't talked to two friends of mine for about 10 years and when we all meet up again they told me that I made a huge impact on their lives. Since you've done alot more then I have someone you've ran into or helped was affected by you. So I would say of course people will remember you.

Life is all about choices, your choices... good or bad. It is how you live it. As long as your choice don't hurt others.

There is nothing wrong with being single for the rest of your life.
There is nothing wrong with choosing your work over relationship.
There is nothing wrong with like gaming when you are older.
There is nothing worng with getting drunk, as long as someone else drives you home.
There is nothing wrong with flirting but just don't get carry away when you already have someone.

Atheist here too...

btw, you should really take some vacation, visit some 3rd world countries and you will see you got it better than most people. Then you wonder how the hell does those people who live in poverty live day by day.... I have seen little kids (maybe 8-12) rummaging those the garbage can looking for food in broad daylight. The locals do not even turn their heads because this is normal for them.... so you wonder, what is the meaning of life for those kids. You have to wonder how they get through the day. How does a homeless person in USA get through life. see, you got it good.

I know you don't wanna hear this, but maybe the fact that you're an athiest leaves you believing you have nowhere left to go. You'll die and the world will continue on, and in fact nothing you ever did had that much of an impact on the world.... who knows maybe thirty years from now nobody will even remember your name. Hurray for an ending that lacks any true meaning.

The view of an athiest = You're born, you die. So why does it matter.

wow you've done a lot already pat yourself on the back stop and take a deep breath you make it sound like you have nothing but sheesh lots of people never even finished or went to college. Enjoy the freedom you have now not working because you will probably be back to the grind soon enough. A generic answer to will anyone remember you is to have kids. I don't know how much that is going to help your future but at least you can be reminded that you have something your already building on.

I'm not religious either, but I can tell you some 'God crap' as quoted, may be good for you. You can choose not to take it too seriously, just pray and go to church once in a while, maybe you'll find some hope and a way to life. {Church gives friends who can help you.}

Either that, or take this time to think about your life and thoughts. I like to do this whenever I'm feeling low, and feel I have no true friends. {Friends, families, love... etc.} I go into isolation mode, which is alright since dragging the problem won't help.

I read motivational books! You can ignore those religious books since you think it's crap, and maybe get books that guide your troubles. For eg. 'How to Win Friends & Influence People', or 'The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader'. I'd reccommend Dale Carnegie for his books have helped me along my course of life. I remember seeing a book about his that says- how to like your job, or something similar to it.

Whenever you feel like life is crap, refer back to the books, get more books, or anything that will help you get back to your course in life.

Open your eyes to realise people care,
Cheers!

It is always nice if you have someone to share it with, you work hard and become successful then to get to a position that you feel like now, Yes people will remember you! Take some time to be nice to yourself and make friends share your life with them and if you choose you may find someone who you want to share the rest of your life with. Your life is worth more than you will ever know, I too do not believe in god but I believe that every one has a path that they choose and walk. Take care of yourself .

The things you have done are they for others or yourself, Mother Teresa did none of what you have done however she was selfless.

Will your friends remember you, I dont know how you live your life, if I may make a suggestion, live your life for you, always be able to look yourself in the mirror in the morning and get on with it with out causing others pain, this will leave a mark on all people you meet.

You don't mention family or children, so unless you've made very good friendships with some of those you've met; then no, you won't be remembered. Leaving aside religion, a person's passing leaves no more impression than is left in a pool of water when your finger is pulled out of the water.
