...
People don't think for themselves. We're easily influenced by TV and the culture they tell us to be. As long as the government promises to keep our economy health, most people would jump through hoops for them. We can be led to believe anything, just toss it to TV stations and broadcast it.
Hitler and his buddies burned down a government building and blamed (Poland?) someone else for it. Which started WWII. False Flag operation, people believed it. Give people a sense of Nationalism (or just call it Patriotism) and they'll go bonkers when you tell them someone else has attacked you. If you're not with us, you're against us!

I´m not sure if he said so,but it makes sense to me.The nazi
ideology based not on democracy but on the will of one
party or one leader.The so-called "Führerprinzip",i.e. the
"leader´s princip" rules over everything. And as long as people don´t think,as long as they don´t ask questions is pretty
comfortable for a tyran and dictator. And people were kept busy
in those days, they were to work a lot after a period being on
ultralow welfare. And in their pastime, they were to join
organisations, teams, equipes and so they were kept busy again
with sports, techniques, crafts etc,so they hadn´t any time to think,
despite stuff, the goverment wants them to think. Thus a crowd was created, without an opinion of its own, following their stupid leaders, without questionning anything.

Some of the answers that you have received confirms that many of us refuse to think. Thinking is hard work, and there are those in this life who simply do not feel up to the task.
Ask your self about many of the beliefs that you hold without question, never taking the time to really think them through.
We are not a reflective people by nature. We allow outside forces to influence us to a great degree. Since most of wish to emulate someone. I think it tends to errode our ability to think for ourselves. To be idependent of mind requires courage, and a willingness to stand against ones peers, friends and even family.
Many sheep will be lead about due to unwillingness to question popularly held beliefs. I think this is what he meant.

Most likely he was referring to the fact that in a dictatorship, the ruler does the thinking for everybody.

Could be maybe coz he had written everything he wanted to do (kill the Jews) if he'll have the power in his hands,in his book Mein Kampf. People certainly didn't think he would do so and didnt believe him. We know what happened today.

He probably said it referring to everything he did. If people actually thought about what he did He ( hopefully ) wouldn't of killed and destroyed so many lives.

Possibly that the general public (the "people") don't know what's good for them ? They can't see the bigger picture ? And hence why he ruled with the facism that he did...

I think he said that, because when people don't think, they aren't intelligent and he didn't want intelligent people because they would have disagreed with his ideology.
