Usually it is the other way around - you fit the door to the frame you have and not the frame to the door. In the States, standard doors are 6'8" (80") x even widths (24, 28, 30, 32 and 36 inches). A door frame consists of a header, two jambs, stop molding and usually clam casing. The jambs can be cut to any length - no problem. however you are going to have to get a custom made header for the 33 inch door. Your finished opening should be just a little wider than your door. When you get the header made, it will likely take this into account.

that particular door is standard you need a 6 foot 6 inch by 2 foot seven dood frame, (78x33) the frame may need packing, the best way to fit it is to put the door in the frame, try the frame in the hole , equalise the gap packin the hinge side first and fixing it. this allows you to move the ''opening side'' to suit and once you are happy fix that side. ( tip use screws not nails as they are easier to get out should you need to adjust ok) by the sound of it you may need to trim the bottom od the door as well (another tip if the door is hollow core dont take more than 3/4 inch off the bottom as you will remove the whole of the bottom rail, instead take some from the top )

Standard house doors are 6 ' 6 x 2 ' 6
The one your asking about is 6 ' 6 x 3 feet.
Ask for that size in your local builders merchant.
Not worth asking in local diy stores, as they generally haven't a clue.
