No, not possible. Not in at least 50 years. After that, we might have a non-white president. The present generation that is in the government and running the country in the private sectors is nver gonna let a non-white person become the president. We people are sooooo prejudiced. Seriously, we are. It's time we nee to change or we will disappear from the world's map soon. Take care.

This question has been asked ad nauseum. Yes, it will happen, but how soon depends on when the racists grow up. Racism is a two way street and both must realize that our life goals are not different...home ...family....security...happiness! When that happens, then the candidates can be selected by their merits, not the color of their skin or their religion. I personally believe that President Hu JinTao of China could do a better job than Bush.

No, I don't think so. There are many people within the minorities who have the right to vote but don't exercise it. In order to get a minority elected, you would need to mobilize all the minorities to support the cadidate; I don't see any white people supporting a minority. This would take a lot of education, right down to how to operate the voting computer.
Another thing, most minorities, except blacks/natives, are for the most part content with what the government does for them, no matter who is in charge. So getting involved to evoke change isn't really a priority. Keep in mind in other countries they payed taxes but the country was always in sad shape because of corruption within the government. This is just what I've observed.

Sure. I think we could have a black president within fifty years. The black middle class has grown significantly in the past couple decades and they are moving up the ladder. That will be a significant presidency I bet. It will be a sign that America has made significant progress and has become much less intolerant. But change happens slowly.

Without doubt, It is long overdue.!
Uganda? Black President? Have you not heard of the infamous Idi Amin? He is an ex- Ugandan president, Hitler had nothing on him! He kicked out of the country all the people who were of Asian descent, took their money and property. He spent the taxes on fine palaces and cars and clothes for himself. He had a fetish for uniforms and gold braid, and wore just about every one imaginable, none of which he was entitled to . He put the severed head of his wife's`lover on a plate in her refrigerator.Lovely man!

O , absoluty! Its just a matter of time . I am kinda surprised it hasnt happened yet. Race SHOULD have NO impact on a candidates chances , but , some people are still caught up in the past....on BOTH sides of the fence.
I would love to see Morgan Freeman run. I would vote 4 him in a heart-beat.

I think Collin Powell if he had not folded to pressure from Bush would have made a good president!
If you could get Oprah to run you could have the first black and woman president in one!

There are lot of Black Presidents. Do you mean black president of America? Of course, there will be a black president of America. White presidents of America so far seem to be warmongers and rightwing bastards.

Get real. White America is trying to prevent from becoming the minority to people from south of the border, just like they stole America from the Native Americans and renaming them INDIANS. They have taken a lot of music genres over from Afro-Americans and want to become black.
