So these spiders seem very content to just stay in the corners of my lounge, bedroom and bathroom. They dont ever seem to catch anything but yet they grow bigger and bigger. They have very small bodies, long'ish legs and hang upside down in their webs. If I vacuum them up they just come back again after about a week. How do I prevent them from coming back?

You may have a poltergeist or some other sort of entity inhabiting the room. It could be something non spiritual such as a mouse but that would leave droppings which give a visible clue. You need to get someone to exorcise it. Suggest you telephone a Roman Catholic church and ask for help. Not every priest is able to do an exorcism. The Catholic view is that these spirits are evil and need to be expelled. Not every exorcism ceremony is successful in dispelling the spirit. Good luck.

He's more interested in bugs than you, he gets fat because when you sleep, he's up putting the "MUNCH" on all of the things that come around at night to put the "munch" on YOU ! (Mosquito's, fly's, gnat's, etc), So now people want you to put poison in the house (Pesticides), not a good idea. I'll take the spider, let the little sentry do his guard work, he won't bother you, he'll be gone soon with winter, as there will be no more bugs for him to eat, or bugs around to eat you. Insect's outnumber us 7:1, and are our #1 competitor for food, the spider is in MY camp, I like him, and anything else that eat's bug's, that eat me !

Kill the little blighter and have done with! If others do the same-then find some kind of insect repellant that normally works on spiders too.

The best way to get rid of bugs is to put bait (poison) in the walls. Pest control companies do this, but only some of them. Others will downplay it.

Leave them alone. They don't hurt anyone and they eat all of the other creepy crawlies. They also keep the disgusting flies at bay too!
