is there a problem with the young ones that think there parents should stop having sex after they get past 30 years old we have a freind that thinks its wrong

Your friend is "very" silly. Sex is a part of a healthy, loving relationship and age shouldn't come into it, unless of course you are "under" age!!

I can't believe that some one could ask this; let alone that some of the other answers seem to support such a ludicrous concept ( I really hope those ones are joking) Sex is for all adults. Just because you get over 30 doesn't mean you stop having the need for itimacy. Read Masters and Johnson ( later Masters and Masters) the human sexual response. If young adults thing theres a problem with sex after the age of 30 they really have a screwed up attitude to sex.

The fundamental issue is that ppl get older but their interests and needs don't necessarily change. Its something of an ageist attitude like seeing an older guy in a flash sports car. It's probably something he's always driven and y should he change his preferences due to age. Or older ppl still going clubbing because they have always like that sort of music, tastes don't change with age, I can't see anyone suddenly hitting 40 and over and thinking 'now I'm getting on a bit I'd better like operatics' or such like.
Give ppl a break and know that life is for everyone to live not just the younger ones!!!

Ok here goes, i am 37 and my parents arein their 50/60, i know that they have sex, but it still grosses me out. I dont want to think about it. Now i have teenagers and younger and they think we are too old to have sex, when my husband went for his vasectomy, my daughter said, well if your not ganna make babies any more, then you cant have sex, your getting too old. And so its not wrong it is just a way of coping with what goes on.

If your friend thinks that people over 30 are old, then that friend is still a teenager or younger. Universally, kids who first learn about sex, think it is yuck. As they mature they change their minds, but that is the first reaction of a kid. Also it is amazing that as that kid matures and ages, 30 will get younger and younger.

I don't think it's wrong to live most likely say 40 more years without any sexual satisfaction. Who cares what your friend thinks she's not the one who is going to be there when you have sex. So why bother, wasting your life, for an option.

This is typical that children can not picture their parents having sex! It is like the feel that their parents should only have had sex once!

LOL...How old is this friend of yours? All I can say is that your friend is quite ignorant. As long as their sex drive is still there, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong wtih anyone having sex past 30.

Hey i am not so young and its even worse thinking about my parents having sex - which they have done twice in their life - once for me and once for my brother.
But seriously parents and kids do not like to think about that about each other. Its too weird.
