HP - Your guarantee is with the computer manufacturer rather than the distribute if it's a mechanical fault.You can approach Comet but they'll just be a middle man between you and HP. If it's a software fault eg: Windows has messed up then that won't be covered by any kind of guarantee.

under consumer law Comet are the ones to sort out the problem your contract is with Comet you bought the PC off them not HP
and it is Comets responsibility to sort it out if HP need to be contacted then Comet should do that

Depending on the fault go to comet first as any guarantee comes from their department and if necessary they will contact HP for you good look .

HAHAHAHHA you bought a HP pc from Comet? Throw it in the bin - it'll be so far out of date its not worth bothering with.

Youre warranty is with hp.
Be sure you know which way the problem lies here though.
By this i mean: is it a user error or has a component failed on the pc itself!
you will end up paying the costs if the pc has any problems other than component failure ok.

go back to comet, you are still in warrenty for a year, stand your ground say you want it fixed within 21 days or a new computer

Take it back with all necessary paper work and do not be fobbed off you paid hard earned money tell them sort it now no bull just sort it or full refund ,take no prisoners

good luck if you phone with a problem,i lost the will to live the other week with their phone service,it was automated and i just went roun and round in circles it will be intresting to see my phone bill,when i finally spoke to a human he was of no use either,their customer service care stinks

its better to go to where u bought it from first............they will take care of ur problem and contact HP themselves...........but mostly it depends on the problem too..........so u should hav mentioned the prob here........
