For the last few months he has been a ********. I try to organize to go out and catch up with him but he always 'doesn't know what he is doing' or 'can't be bothered.' During this time he has been hanging around with some of my other, not as close friends, and makes up stories to me about why he didn't tell me what he was doing or why he didn't reply to my messages. I have caught him out lying multiple times and he just says that the endless coincidences aren't his fault. One time I invited him to go to the movies, he didnt want to, he was tired. Two days later he messages me and says that he went to the movies with two of the other guys and he didn't let me know because there wouldn't have been enough time for me to come. Yesterday we went to our mutual friends engagement party and he was already drunk when he got there with the other guys, I went seperately. He was behaving like a 15 yr old, following the other guys around and jeering along with them, teasing my best mates girlfriend

saying how ugly she is and how he 'will take her off his hands' for him, like he is god's gift to women. I felt ashamed of them all, they were being absolute bastards to the engagement friend, one ate a chunk of salmon worth 15$ in one bite and they all chuckled about it after. He is just being a sheep, trying to be cool with dumb, crappy job losers, when they so aren't.l

All your answers are good it is hard to choose a best one. I took your advice, guess what, he is sucking up to me know, wanting to know all about what I have been doing and being nice to me. But i'm not going to include him in anything I do until he is an actual friend to me again.

I don't think you really should bother with him as he really isn't worth it. If he can't see what kind of friend you have been to him in the past years then i would just move on and have a good time with out him. Go out with your other friends and if he see's you having a good time with out him he may come back with he's tale between his legs. He does so i would kick him to the kerb.

Well, I'd say he's trying to impress these other guys by acting like them. What your friend fails to realise is that these guys will drop him and fast when they get bored of having him follow them around. Unfortunately, for him, when this happens, he'll have lost his real friends because of his behaviour. It's up to you whether you want to stand with him and wait for him to get dumped on, or if

hey!
this doesn't sound like a really good friend. If I were u i would stop hanging out with him as much. a true friend would actually want to hang out with you and not lie.

A "Wanker"? Guess so. I'd forget him and quickly. He's no friend. You're too good and nice for him. Find someone who will appreciate you.
