i just can't wake up from my chair to do something else. it's such fun browsing. i already know too much of it, but a curiosity to know something more always. how can i at least plan my computer timings. i just sit without purpose and start to do something on it. what to do?

The Internet in itself is not addictive. Only certain sites that you enjoy can be addictive.
I think you should try setting an alarm clock to help you set the amount of time you should spend on the Internet (or on the computer itself).
Like any other addiction, beating it is all about willpower. Log the amount of time you spend on the computer each day. Review it every night before you go to sleep. Next day, review the amount of time you spent on the computer and where you spent it. Time goes by really quickly on the computer. The logs will help you realize how much time you're spending.
You need to create a schedule for yourself about where all your time goes each week.
Instead of playing around on the Internet or watching TV, go do something else. Something that involves getting out of the house is better.

Because everyone has a natural urge to learn and absorb information - even if they refuse to believe it. The internet is the biggest source of information known to man.

Also, a sense of community can be something that is longed for in the real world - but the net can provide that too.

Because there is so man things you can do and your mind goes wild with all the choices and dosen't stop until it is full satisfied.

do a DAILY schedule, time yourself, u want to surf for how long? 2hours? max 3? then stop... move to something else, have a timer nearby ur pc...it helps, well for me!
