I'm a pilot and the scariest ride was when i was 15 and i was flying with my instructor in a cessna 150 (a small two seat plane) and we got into really bad weather, but the instructor took over the controls and he got us out of there safely.

I went mountain biking on some single track and lost control of the bike. I ended up going over the cliff falling down into some thorn bushes surrounded by what I later found out was poison oak.
Luckily the other riders who were with me were able to pull me out. I had more puncture wounds than I could count, never did get the blood stains out of my clothing. On top of that a couple weeks later the poison oak kicked in.

it was a bus ride nowhere in china! along the cliffs of a mountain range in the dark with a crazy driver! beats any roller coaster with a danger factor involved
