This 30-minute horror/fantasy anthology series follows in the vein of The Twilight Zone. Each week presents another standalone story of horror fantasy, and/or science fiction. Some episodes are gruesome, a few are of a lighter comedic style. Like many such shows, Tales... adapted the work of famous genre authors of the period such as Harlan Ellison, Stephen King, and Clive Barker. Many episodes also featured veteran actors of the 40's and 50's that saw very little work in their later years.
Check out Tv.com and it will let you review the shows.

Tales from the Darkside is an anthology TV series from the 1980s produced by George A. Romero. Similar to The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, each episode was an individual short story that ended with a plot twist. Unlike these other series, Tales from the Darkside centered mostly around horror stories. However, the series contained some episodes which would more likely be considered science fiction or fantasy-based, as well as some episodes which were more comical in tone.

Oh man, a great scarey show about all different things, some cool, some scarey, famous actors, great show, used to be on sat nights in the 80's, the begining of the show "Trailer" showed things that normally were not scarey, add the music and words to a "Birch forrest" at dusk and-->"Man lives in a sunlit world he call's his own, but unseen by most, there is a dark side"

A cult classic from back in the Eighties that was more funny than scary. The host was a cadaver, and he intro'ed short stories from popular authors and producers, that they probably sold for a song.
