For you filipino women, what do you think of being typecast as slu*s according to most men?

in reference to many questions here that had men replying that filipino women are slu*ts

to the others ok i apologise for my part in using the word "slu*", but what i meant are the filipino women who marry men for money, visa, etc. and are slu*ts under my eyes. there are many who does stereotype filipino women this way. i am a filipino woman and i am disgusted to be viewed this way and wanted to share to the other filipino women about it. wasn't expecting replies from men who sure as hell have no idea.

Sorry I am not a filipino woman! I think a lot of people in western culture view asian women negatively, with a great deal of disrespect to them. In particular the western popular culture and media portrays Filipinas in a negative way, a really negative and horrible way. Also, the portrayal of the Philippines in general is usually negative, and this problem has been made worse by the recent political history. In general the Philippines has a great deal to offer in terms of its rich culture and way of life. People should be proud of their culture and way of life, in the end this is what will be the strongest, don't let go of it.

I don't know where you live and don't particularly care either, but I will say this Filipinas are the sexiest and most loving and friendly women in all Asia, I respect their culture and traditions and always come to their defence when I see such terrible statements made about their character in general, please get a life and just move on jealousy is a terrible thing.

I don't think that stereotype. My girlfriend is Filipino and I have met many other Filipinos while I have been working here in Japan. I don't think they are sluts. Some are, but not more than any other culture. Most are sweet, religious, hard working and family oriented people.

Well, there are 2 kinds of Filipino women.... the good and the bad. Most probably, those men were victimized by the sweetness and plastic kindness of those bad ones until these women finally got what they wanted from those men as their "milking cow". So, the tendency of those guys were to generalize. We can't blame them. They're just human.

that's being rude and the core of rudeness. Sluts, prostitutions and loose morality is not a monopoly of Filipino women. I admit prostitution is an old issue in the Philippines, as in other countries, and we as a people can't do something about it. Filipinas, at least a majority of us, do not talk openly about sex and we believe in monogamy. We just do not open our legs for everyone. We value virginity and give it up only after marriage.

Well, I don't agree with that. It's wrong to say that all of us Filipina's are like that. maybe there are some,yes but you cannot say all. and I am sure there are some who are like that in some other countries too. So you cannot say that Filipinas are that and the White are like this... ( Ghie )

They are sociable and nice and gives their men the best in love and in bed once love is in.

Sad thing is that many men takes abused this sincerity and naivety (sometimes) and uses them for target practice only.

They are not sluts, learn to respect them.

for every one of those typecast as such, there are countless more who are thought of and perceived to be far more self-respecting than those whose thought processes run like pigeonholes, rather than right-thinking brains.

and as is to be expected, the self-respecting ones, regardless of ethnicity, don't let bigotted typecasting sidetrack them from becoming better than those who think ill or less of them. they become much better and stronger persons, with more tolerant attitudes about others.
