Wrong question. I don't base my reality on another person's reality, I base it on my own. My life path, my values, and my beliefs are more important to me than any outside thing. So it's not even a matter of choosing between a hot girl that doesn't care about me because that woman would NEVER make it into my radar. And a geek who likes me, well, that depends....if I like her then I'm going out with her.
The dating world is usually not this black and white, so I found many flaws with your question. I've dated really "hot" women, some that were models and found them to be boring. I've also dated "geeks" who captivated my mind and my emotions. And also vice versa. I'm a guy, so physical attraction HAS to be there for me. I also love sex, so that HAS to be there also. But once the attraction is there it's the woman's character, integrity, sense of humor, and personality that is going to keep me around.
Sadly, very few women meet this criteria. Is it any surprise that men are flocking to women from other countries in RECORD numbers? I think not.

Well why would a hott girl being even considering going out with you if she didn't care? If the question is more based on the subject of looks vs personality.. then i'd have to say personality. Obviously there would have to be somewhat of a physical attraction, but personality is the most important characteristic.

An older woman in her mid 40's who has grown or no kids, is financially and intelligently secure, and hates mind games like when she was your age and there was no such thing as computers. She also likes wine after dinner, and goes to bed early so there is enough time to have mad passionate sex, and be able to sleep enough to get up and function at work the next day, while you sleep, to pay the bills if you can't!
