I love this show and missed the season premire. I am dying to know what happened to Shakespeare and Tosca. All of those Meerkats are soooooo adorable. I am addicted to this show! :-)

They did not say specifically but it is assumed they died. Tosca lacking support of the gang was left to fend for herself in the winter. Shakesphere disappeared after his fight at the burrow with the Lashuli. Neither was seen in the premiere, and neither is listed in the opening credits when you meet the Whiskers. I will miss Shakesphere, I really liked him.
Another thing you missed. There is a new gang of meerkats called the Commandos. Check the listings because Animal Planet will replay the premiere episode several time this week.
