I do believe it is better to give than recieve, it makes you feel really good about yourself.

As Emmett says... "It's better to give than to receive... except in bed." Heh... but I disagree with him; I want to receive all the time! What can I say? I'm just a bit too materialistic, I guess.

I'm a giver and i don't expect to receive anything in return... it makes me happy to give and that's all that matters and if i receive something in return that will make my day ....

I think it depends. It's better for a humble person to give and an egotistical person to receive. It can be very humbling to receive.
I have been both.
