answering questions with no answers that are about to expire is only part of it, they would also have to go back and vote for themselves... you don't get the ten points automatically

btw: I'm not concerned with the number of points they have, just the percentage of best answers. seems supicious to me...

I figured it out after just getting a violation for an answer to a q about Stephen Hawkings Q I said that it wasn't possible for him to have done it

start account 100 points
ask a q -5
choose best answer +3
That = 98 points

He never answered a Q How does he have 102 points???

It was deleted. So there is your answer, those people get all or most of the other answers deleted. D@mn snitches

Well Cziizi,

The two in question are Raju and Kevin (respectively) - If you go to their Profile, you will see that most of their Best Answers were "Chosen by Asker" - So they couldn't have another account that "Votes" them best. Also, they have a tendancy to stay in a few selected categories. Kevin even answers this question in exceptional detail [ Go to Kevins profile and look at the question "Is #1 Kevin cheating?" -- He answers it right there!] It may also help that Kevin is a member of Mensa & the father of twins (It's that "Why, Daddy. Why?" that probably helps him too).

Raju and Kevin have been on Yahoo! Answers for awhile now and do truly "Think" about their answers or have the websites at hand to back them up.

So Sorry, Malarky, Malarky, Malarky!

The fact's speak for themselves,

James in San Diego

P.S. Now if you were asking about Brian Buckingham - He cheats like the devil..... Just Kidding !

They are very selective about which types of questions they answer. If you notice, almost all the questions are from the same category. I can raise my best answer % almost overnight if I answer questions that are about to expire with no answers. I don't bother much because I don't care about the points but sometimes I like to see what I can find out about some of these odd questions.

I could probably have close to 100% best answers if I only answered factual questions that hadn't been answered after 24 hours but I like to give my opinions even if no one appreciates them.

Have you checked their best answers to see how
they were voted for. Were they chosen by the "asker"
or by the amounts of votes?
Besides both, Raju and Kevin answer question
to which they have knowledge of.
If you do the same - you will get there eventually!
With your question you are implying that the people
who get lots of best answer are cheating. Not nice.

I don't really think you need to cheat. I mean I've chosen the same person more than once as I get from him the most unique, funny, creative answers!!!

They stick to fields that they are very knowledgeable in. They give very concise answers with links to back up the answers.
I've only seen one person like that, and I checked their answers.

I get picked from the person who asked the question my answers are legit

Because they are that damn good, that or they give the answers that people want to hear, rather than the answeres that they need to hear, or rather read as this case would be.
