Virus and spyware are programs that is installed in your computer without your knowledge... their difference is that the virus destroys your computer as you use them, while the spyware are pop-ups from commercial purposes without your consent which is troublesome by nature.

Viruses, are viruses that destroy your computer system and must be fixed by cleaning it up. The spy ware is a bug that comes with when you download software or a program and it automatically downloads a bug in to your computer that spy on your activities to the people who developed it. For example, if you always visit porn web sites, they sure know you go to porn sites, and they will try to sell you something that has to do with porn by e-mail, and setting your homepage to their default web page without your permission.
