Effective October 1 (today), the State of Arkansas' minimum wage is increasing from 5.15 to 6.25. . . What happens, if my company doesn't pay me the state minimum wage starting today? What can i do, and who can i go to to report it?

More than likely they will pay you the new wage starting October 1. If they odn't then you can complain to your state (start with the governor's office) unless you are a commission or part commission worker as this may or may not apply to you...you'd have to ask. You can certainly call your governor's office and someone will respond to you.

That is not a raise, its more like a tumble up one accidental notch. Arkansas is a State that needs to wake up and smell the river that runs through it!

They will pay you. It's the law. If they don't, contact the Chamber of Commerce (in your city). I use them all the time. They will direct you to the right Dept & most often, will give you a phone number as well. Don't sweat it, you'll get it.

you will wanna report it to your state labor board, and if the company doesnt start paying you the new wages you can sue for reimbursement they will have to pay it.

Trade unions can help in such a case, usually even if you're not a member. They will also help if you should get problems because of your complaint.
