Don't worry
You are not the first person to experience this and you are not the last one..
Its human nature..
The main problem is - "People don't think with others point of view"
As a solution,,as u have already said u have good communication skills..use your skills wisely. Be frank to others..have good sense of humor and smile a lot..
try to clear their misunderstandings n be dedicated to relationship..
Good luck!

There are some English expressions in speech that don't translate well when typed. I've found this with friends I have that are not based here in England. Sometimes they appear to be rude, but it's just that I'm not able to read their comments in the manner in which they are typing. This does lead to some misunderstanding at times, but as friends, you learn to sort things out and your friendship becomes stronger as a result of it. I think your English is very good especially as it isn't your first language. Don't worry about it too much. Worrying will lead to you becoming less confident and may increase your problem. The more you converse with others, the better you will become at expressing yourself.

You are not alone in English not being your first language, but don't let that stop you,. It may be frustrating but I have a story for you that will let you get on with it. A friend of mine who is not principal of the biggest school in North America , could not speak english when he came to this country , 14 yeears later, bingo head of the Department of Education, If people give you grief voluntarily because of not being specific, that is there problem, keep speaking and you will outgrow them I assure, you. For everyone that misunderstands, 10 will continue to try and understand and help you word it so that you will feel more confortable.

Molly, communication is a life skill some people have trouble with and something we all have to learn regardless who or what we are. Many of the problems around the world today exist due to top people being unable to communicate. The good thing here is that you have recognised and are fully aware of a problem existing so you're on the right road. Just continue working at it and I'm sure things will improve for you.

Are you in highschool? Highschool is rough, that's all people do is judge it seems like. The best thing to do is make some good solid friends and let people misunderstand you. If people don't take the time to get the know the real you then why care what they think?? Find some people who you can get along with and they will know your true personality. You just gotta be yourself.

If people continually misunderstand you, it must be because you are not expressing yourself clearly or honestly.
It might help if you took a course in public speaking, and learned how to use English clearly and in a way that it can not be misconstrued. Read more, and see some good films or plays.
Many writers are more articulate in writing than in speaking. You may simply be shy.
Good Luck!

first part of your question, as you mature you will find it easier to explain what and how you feel, sadly some people don't listen, they hear but don't listen..and this reflects on them and not you, as for the second part, school should take into account that English is your second language and offer you some support. you could if you have the time, undertake a community course as English as a second language.. but hey, your one up on me, i only have one language, so that should make you feel good, you can speak two..don't put your self down.

If it is a language barrier that is making people misunderstand you then the first thing that I can come up with is to work on you English.
Just keep trying
that is all I can think of

Sorry to hear about your problem. Alot of people go through this phase. I did. So I know it sucks. In time it will stop and you'll meet some great people that are mature enough to understand you. You may be ahead of your time, which means that you will have an excellent future.

maybe try to work on your english some for they can understand you better....it is not good though that they form opinions before they even know you though...it is good that you are writing articles at school...i think i would not worry about those making up their mind before they know you...maybe they have the problem...you can only do the best you can....
