Hulk Hogan...I admire what he's done for the business. I have to admit, he basically made the WWE, Pro Wrestling, and Sports Entertainment popular.
But the things he did, especially backstage, make me lose respect for him. Hogan, being one of the most powerful figures in all of sports, was able to throw his weight around to make things go in the direction he wanted, like match outcomes, pushes, and storylines. He used major back stage politics to get his way. Even today, he still uses his little push and pull methods to get victories, and backing out at the last minute before fulfillng anything. After he defeated HBK at Summerslam '05, he was supposed to lose to HBK later, but that didn't happen because Hogan decides that he didn't want to wrestle. To me, Hogan is similar to a dirty politician. He appeals to the people, but the people don't always know what's secretly happening.
So this is how I describe Hogan, and this is from HBK's impersonation of Hogan:
"Well on camera brother, I'm a great guy, but when the camera goes off...it's a different story brother..."

I remember watching him wrestle back in the late 80s and early 90s. I was sad to see him leave the WWF to goto WCW but was glad to see him back in the WWE.
He was my favorite wrestler back then. I'm glad that he can still wrestle and all, but think it's time for him to retire. When a guy needs pins in him after wrestling every time, wouldn't you think there's something wrong there??

I think that the reality show has proven that he is a decent dad, and a real human being and not a "character"!!
But in all honesty,I think his wife has made him what he is.
She's a nut, but she's pretty cool and a good mom and wife to Hulk!

He's a legend. He is the most recognized wrestler to this day. He helped shape and modify the wrestling industry to what it is today. He's not the best wrestler out there, actually he is more an entertainer than a wrestler.

Back when he was champion, I got tired of him because it went on so long, and it was like he was the only one getting promoted. I liked him just fine, but I wanted to see someone else get a chance. He had presence, but it just went on so long everyone got bored with him.

I admired him when I was much younger. He's got such a great following. As I get older, I realize he's not that good a wrestler. He's got a lot of charisma though.
