It really depends on what level you are working at and whether you are qualified. Good things to remember are that a lot of TA positions are not full time and therefore the money is pro-rata, also a lot of jobs only pay for term-time so you would have to factor this in when calculating your pay as you may spend a large amount of time out of work. In the UK there is a new scheme for training for Teaching Assistants and support staff, it may be worth checking with your local college about these qualifications as if you are qualified it may make it easier to find work.

Not enough! TA's are invaluable in the classroom and should be paid a lot more... I have an NVQ level 3 in early years education and worked bloody hard for it, but get paid buttons! We teach the future generation and should be valued more!

between 14000 and 17000 a 300 and sixty 5 days in spite of the undeniable fact that it is professional-rata, term time purely--and based on hours labored--so which you will purely get 14500. So, the two have a companion who earns extra desirable than you or produce different ingredients of earnings; the two one in all which I easily have.

Not enough - good ones are worth their weight in gold. However some really seem to have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to teachers. They should try that job.
