According to the home office, the number is closer to 210,000, but it's still loads of people to just vanish.

I think the answer is down to farming. We are being farmed by the Aliens (or Gods as some people call them).

Then we are plucked like ripe fruit from a tree, and used by the Aliens (Gods) to wash up crack in a spaceship on the other side of the moon.

After we have made our quota of crack, we are used for bum sex by the King Aliens sons. He has 2 sons, named Jesus and Mohammad. When they are not using us for bum sex, they like to trick us into leading rediculous lives that are against our nature.

I don't think 250,000 actually go physically missing. This is a problem in collecting statistics. A number of people fail to appear on the census of electoral roll that were there previously - this could be for a number of reasons - avoiding council tax, benefit fraud, inland revenue fraud, avoiding child support, emigration etc... Might put people's minds at rest hopefully.

What about that guy who went missing off the coast of one of the channel islands in the UK? They thought he perished in the freezing waters after conditions became too much for him. Then after quite some time he was found and they couldn't believe he'd been in the water for so long?

However, someone spotted him doing some shopping in Paris and reported him. He had faked the whole scenario of going missing. Does he count in this figure of missing people you mentioned?

Well a lot of people get found in the end, or chicken out and go turn themselves in. What a waste of time.
