I don't think they will inform any one until after the closing date, it wouldn't be fair to late applicants. I wouldn't give up hope until the end of October. These big Companies can be very slow with their selection process.

Please be patient! I know it is terribly difficult, but the larger the company, the more time it takes. I applied for a job at a well-known University, went through the grist mill like you, had to wait 3 weeks for a peep. Then they couldn't wait to get me started. The closing date only means that that is the last day applications for the posting are being taken, everything else will be turned away. Was there a "final" interview day, or did they mention at yours they were still interviewing for the position? All in all, it sounds as if you did well enough for them to take you to their boss, so I would say you are in the running. However, keep putting your applications out there. You just never know how it will turn out til you get the word. Best wishes!

I think it's lame you haven't heard anything by now. Maybe apply to a better place and after the interview next time write a short letter expressing your interest in working there and letting them know if they need anything else from you please to inform you.

As for this place, you could call to ask about the status of your application for the position if you are still willing to work for them.

I like the avatar background you chose. :)
