You might have the beginning of a urinary tract infection.

I would suggest that you get tested for a UTI (all you have to do is give a urine sample and you'll know in minutes). They can give you pills for it, usually about 7 days worth and you'll be fine. Also, if the problem gets worse, go ASAP! If you leave it untreated, you can end up with serious consequences, such as a liver infection!

UTI symtpoms: constantly feeling like you have to urinate, only being able to urine a little when you do go, not being able to hold even the slightest bit of urine, burning sensation (begins just when you urine, eventually will be a 24/ 7 feeling), slight lower stomach pain, etc.

Also, when you have a UTI, it's VERY common to get a yeast infection, so watch out for that, too.

And yes, cranberry juice will help (sorry to say it).

Good luck.

You can get cranberry tablets or capsules in the vitamins section at the drugstore or grocery. Just take a couple of those every few hours instead of drinking cranberry juice. That way you don't have to taste the stuff but you get all the benefits of it.

Over the counter tablets called, "AZO with cranberry extract"(pinkish red colored box) Or just regular AZO (blue box)WORKS WONDERFUL! Plus, Ibuprophen or tylenol works great for pain! Go to your local grocery/drug store and ask a pharmacist to help you locate the box. I hate water too and I'm not a big fan of that bitter taste of cranberry juice. yuk! So when I get that burning sensation when urinating, I take those tablets and MAN, they DO work!

here's a picture of the box to help you if you need and decide to get them, you'll know what to look for. They are over the counter so you don't need a doctor to prescribe them for you.

eat watermelon. It's an alkaline which will help neutralize the acidity of the urine. The more you at the better as it will also help to dilute the urine making it less painful as well . You might need antibiotics if it's an infection though so go to the doctors if it gets worse!

You need to start liking water because that's the only way to flush out your system. Not drinking water is probably the reason why it burns when you pee!
