what do i need to cross the mexican border? whether a US citizen or not (i.e. driver's license, passport, etc)

Im not a US citizen and Im planning to go to mexico for a vacation and i dont know what documentation do I have to bring. Like I ahve my greencard and everything I just want to make sure what to bring.

Bring a passport and photo ID and your greencard, remember to say your only going for vacation purpose. Proof of vacation and youll be on your way.

all i needed was a birth certificate. and photo id
