Do you mean the availability of this form of energy?
If so, then only most people in America or the other advanced nations take it for granted. The rest of the world knows that electricity may go off at odd times, may be restricted or limited, and many people outside the US keep small generators around just in case the electricity goes off. Most people around the world don't have electricity or have it only for periods of time every day, so like its convenience, but don't depend exclusively on it. If it's there, OK, if it's not, then use the old ways--lamps, no TV, etc.

Yes, I do. Electricity makes so much of our lives simpler. What would people do with their computers? It's really a great topic for discussion. I think more people need to realize that we can't continue using our resources at the rate we are. Without finding more ways to use renewable resources who knowswhere we'll end up.

After Hurricane Katrina, I realize how good we have it! A week in the Mississippi summer heat and humidity is a beeyotch! A week in the dark is too! No internet and no tv meant I didn't even hear that there was a Hurricane called Maria after Katrina and before Rita. I have stocked up on battery operated lanterns and fans too!

me too, basically for everything := ( i do hope however with the advancement of technology, we could harness the many forms of natural energies such as solar to help us to generate electricity but the cost has to be very affordable and more energy to be converted instead. := )

Yes we are totally spoiled and I don't know how people really respond when they are told to conserve energy to avoid a Black Out.
