I am new to writing. I know one has to learn grammer, and spelling which are my two weak spots, but how do you get and keep the readers interest? Is there any websites or online schools that you have experience with that are good to learn from. I did a Google search and there is too many. Any help would be welcome. thanks

other then a letter to a friend or family or a term paper, I have not tried to write anything yet, I am at the learning point. Thanks for the great comments so far though

Read Stephen King's book On Writing. It's great. But, if you're no good at spelling or grammar, and you can't get or keep a reader's interest, what makes you think you can be a writer? That's like saying I'd really like to be a pro golfer, but I can't hit straight or put for crap.

The beauty of writing is this,you can establish your own unique way just like music,art,poetry.I have found out that if your spelling and sentences are comprehensible and your story is riveting your audience wants to know what is going to happen next,not proper English as we have determined that Spanglish is almost a new language.Write from your heart.GL

the most important part of writing is idea. And way to explain that idea. I recomend you to read kind of books what like you want to write. If you attempt to write novels, read the best novelists, ...
