personally, i think being influenced by either is like being scared of the "bogey man".

If one believes in God Satan is powerless.
God is the most influencing, but He does let Satan prevail sometimes for the reasons only He knows.
In any case that is always a call for repentance and salvation.
When everything is good in our loves, we tend to forget God, when times are rough we call upon Him.
That is why!
Again - there is nothing more influential thatn God

God created Lucifer, the finest Angel of all times. They too have a free will and he decided he was as grand as God Himself. Believe it or not, Angels are considered below us in the plane of existence. Anyway, Lucifer was booted out of Heaven along with a few thousand of his followers and he began a war in Heaven. It still continues today even though God could end it any time. It is thought that not only we are given a choice of God or Satan, so are the Angels. It's called free will. God wants you to love Him with your own free will, not made to do it. So, who is more influential is up to the individual. I am afraid of God and what not believing in Him can do. God Himself will do nothing to you. It's what not believing in Him can do in the end. If God does not know you when you face Him to be judged, guess what? You will have an eternity to think about what your mistake was. This life is just a tiny little test. A day in God's life is related to about a thousand years in ours and in eternity. That's a very long time to be tormented in Hell, don't you think?

try reading the Images of God series by Campbell
The Golden Bough by Frazer
Jung's writings on consciousness
basically....god and satan are two sides of the same coin...

Soo...I'm not following the logic here. Are you saying ghosts are Satanic? That's not a commonly-held idea, so far as I know...
