She had a lot of comedy recordings out before she passed away in the Seventies. I think she was very witty and funny.

Anyone else here remember her and like her humor?

I love it when she takes a crack at singing, because she would take a ffamiliar song and twist it around to talk about one of her favorite subjects, be it "I don't want no old man" or something about racist white folks! Great stuff!

Yes! I had almost forgotten her. That was almost back when "damn" would get bleeped! Used to love her, Red Skelton, Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Milton Berle, Lucille Ball, and all the great television comedians of that era.

Thanks for bringing back some fond memories!

Oh my goodness, yes! She and Phyllis Diller were my favorites. I was thinking of Moms Mabley the other day. I saw Phyllis Diller on Craig Ferguson's show not long ago.

I would love to hear that kind of comedy now. You can't hear most of what's said today for the bleeps.

Sure, I remember her from 'back in the day.' I found this great website with her bio. Very interesting:
