Why do you think people actualy do this? I get these emails sayin I have a dead relative that left me money.......or some christian guys died and left me money......so on and blah blah.......I came across this web site that has a list of scams going around the net. Why do you think people do this and how many do you think actually fall for this? http://www.ccmostwanted.com/topics/sc/nigerian.htm

Sadly, I think a lot of people fall for these.
And the reason? There are many dishonest people in the world, who want to steal your money. If they can obtain your bank account info, name, address, social security numbers, credit card numbers, or other identifying information, it makes it easier for crooks to steal. Especially when these criminals are in other countries, we have a lot less recourse to combat against them.
The real question is a moral one: Why do people insist on stealing? And that question can only be answered by the ones who are doing the steeling. It's sad, really.

They do it because they know there will always be people who will fall for it. I never thought I would see it happen to anyone I know but a good friend of mine recently got sucked into one, luckily she got out after $200 so it could have been a lot worse. She saw what she thought was an easy opportunity to make some big bucks with little risk to herself. She now knows the only bucks being made were by those running the scam.

There is always someone willing to dupe you into giving money one way or another so it aint suprising that has spread onto the net. Remember NEVER sign in a email asking for account details always go to their actual sit and sign in. Don't open up a email whomyou have no idea who its come from otherwise you will get loads more as the scammer knows its a working email address. Hope this helps.

They're lazy and count on a good deal of people not having enough sense or clarity of mind to know better than to fall for the scams. It's sad.
