I don't think it's morally wrong to want to help. However I think it is questionably moral to ask for help and expect or even demand people to give you all the exact answers, instead of allowing people to guide you towards discovering the correct answer yourself.

People are given homework so that they can learn.. and also how to do their research, and doing things on their own..

It is ok to help people with homework, provided you take the pains to give them to whole reasoning of how you worked out the answer. For example, for a math problem, don't just give the worked out steps of the answer.. giving just the answer is even worse...

Try to explain something of the mathematical principles you used, and why you did one step instead of choosing the other. Make them think the way you did when you were going through the steps- it may be very easy and intutive for someone used to solving the problems- but remember that for those who have been given the homework, they still need to learn how to do it.

in case you only write the answer (Q: Is it A, B, or C? A: it really is B.) then certain, it really is deceptive on the scholars end in the adventure that they use those solutions, no matter if or not they did not opt for to only get the answer. in case you clarify the answer (Q: Is it A, B, or C? A: because of..., the answer is B.) the student is gaining understanding of and the total factor of doing homework is vindicated. accordingly the student is given the alternative of dishonest and only utilizing the answer, or gaining understanding of by skill of reading the reason. contained in the first situation the student isn't given this selection, so it really is morally incorrect of the answerer to no longer clarify. As for Yahoo's complicity, I view that application of Yahoo solutions to homework as only an offshoot of its purpose of providing an internet question-answering community, so i do no longer locate Yahoo at fault.

Doing some elses' homework FOR them is called CHEATING... Besides it doesn't help them. Now, if they were to ask how to solve a math problem and you provide each step with an explaination, then no. That's what makes Yahoo Answers cool. It Givies us the opportunity to help each other and to learn.

Yes, if you give them the answer they do not learn. However, there is nothing wrong with helping someone with their homework, kind of like a tutor, and help them with research. Everyone needs help at one time or other

I do not think so. If they do not want to do their own homework, that is their choice. It is not cheating because homework is meant to reinforce. It is also enjoyable to share one's knowledge, and if you are still in school, like me, it gives you a chance to reinforce your own knowledge. For those of you who constantly preach what is morally acceptable, I would prescribe Kant's cathegorical imperative.

in the instance you are in good faith in giving an honest answer but also trying to explain it so that the person actually understands why the answer is so, then i wouldn't necessarily find it to be detrimental to your spiritual health in any way. being a helping hand is doing something good for another and if the person is cheating it is on their soul...not your own.God bless!
