I'm 12 years old and homeschooled.In a year I want to start a band but I don't know how,could you tell me?

Advertise in your local paper for band members. Interview them and have them audition for you and a friend or two. Then practice, practice, practice. Before long you'll have your first gig to perform at.

Don't bother, it's a waste of time. And I hope you have at least a $1000 for equipment. I mean you'll need:
Bass Guitar
Electric Guitar
2 Amps
A CD player is useful
A mixer can be useful
Several microphones, each with a channel in the mixer.
Lighting can be useful, usually can get a good package for around $500.
Drum Set
Lots of cords
Total should be $1000+ if you use used equipment. And $2000+ if you do not.

For starts i'd say take some Guitar, Bass, Drums, or Vocal lessons.

Find a bunch of other people who play instuments and have no desire to make something of themselves one day.
