I lost my mother recently, I have asked this question myself many times. I do believe that we are here for a reason and there must be another place, there are many stories of the white lights that people see when they pass and peace and serenity at that time.

If we feel so bad when we loose someone that cannot just be a chemical reaction it must be our spirit otherwise we would get back to normal straight away.

I am not very religious but I do believe your father is in heaven and does see what you do.

Take care

Funny you should ask. Just this week, I feel I was chastised twice by my deceased mother (the first anniversary of her death just passed). The first instance, I was lying on the couch asleep, or in some kind of transition, and I felt something (someone?) lightly tap my left big toe TWICE. It was real enough for me to awake and look around in the dark to see if someone was there. I was disturbed enough to then get up and watch TV for about an hour to mull it over. In the second instance, a few days later, I was again asleep, and I heard a loud, sharp banging (TWICE) like on a pie plate, right next to the side of the bed. This time, I was bemused, and thought,"OK, I don't know what your message is, but I'll play along!" As it was, my roommate came into the room only a couple of minutes later (we had overslept) and announced it was time to get up. I feel someone is watching out for me, and who else could do this better than my mother? (The pie plate was kind of a giveaway). Note: she always believed in "Early to bed, early to rise..."
NO! It wasn't my roommate--asleep in next room, snoring, house pitch-black dark, no pets)

This is totally in the eye of the beholder. First-- is ur pop in Heaven to begin with? Hard to answer as we are not the Judge of his everlasting faith. Secondly, folks in Heaven are generally thought of as spiritual beings --- spirits do not usually "slap" folks upside the head!! Third-- get your thoughts into plain English sentences and they will be easier to understand -- Good Luck with your "head"

Because physically his body ain't alive to give you that slap. But don't mean he isn't watching over and keeping a eye on you in times of trouble.

So your Father is dead and you miss a slap, well it's time you grow up and start slapping yourself, you know when you got one coming, so go ahead, be your own Pa.
