Does anyone else feel that this year is an embarassment to hip-hop?
The 1 and only artist who put it down was T.I. and TX heads carried every1 else. I'm waiting for the West Coast to bring the rap game back to where it need to be. The Game, Dre and my boy SPM are the only ones to bring us out of this drought. Oct. 3rd, "When Devil's Strike" SPM-cop that ****. I'm kinda bias cuz I grew up in Southern Cali, but the East Coast fell off quick like;dropped the ball and I ain't feelin you Down South ****** at all......how many different ****** snap dances you gonna keep coming out with? Garbage!!!

I definitely think it's a bad year for hip hop BUT Lupe Fiasco's album is one of my faves right now. The Game definitely won't be bringing the West Coast back though esp. since he just admitted Dre did no production whatsoever on his new album. Flop.

Well, Dre isn't going to drop Detox any time soon so the West is going to have to wait on that. Game wont do nearly as well as he did the first time around, but that's only because the "industry" is riding 50's nuts all the way to the bank. And, unfortunatley, 50 has the power to shut people down [like Dre not doing production on Doctor's Advocate]. 50 told Dre that if he helped Game, he'd start a war with him. Also, look what 50 did to Cassidy [B-Boy Stance] noone would touch that video with a 10 foot pole just because Curtis said so.
The Rap industry is dictated by the ones who are actually going out and buying the music. And, right now, teenage girls and soccer moms are the ones buying the music, everyone else is downloading. If you dont think that downloading hurts, then just look at the past 2 years in Hip Hop. If you want more West Coast fire, then go out and buy some West Coast music. They only put out what is proven to sell. If Game flops, then the West is a wrap and it'll take another 8 years for someone to get some play.

Oh yeah, garbage, this year is the worst year for rap/hip hop. The worst songs ever of rap were produced this year, Rap from the previous years were good. This year, I'm disappointed. It's a big embarrassment to hip-hop this year. I 100% agree with you!!!!

The South owns East Coast rap. Yall went crazy for "Lean Wit It Rock Wit It".The best rappers yall got is Snoop Dogg,WC,Ice Cube,and a few others.Give It up for T.I.,Lil'Wayne,Ludacris,D4L,DFB,DTP,Ciara,and alot more.
